Spicy Fish Tacos Recipe

Fancy Mexican for dinner? These spicy fish tacos combine melt in the mouth fish with creamy avocado and crisp coleslaw, all wrapped in a soft corn tortilla!

 

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1⁄4 cup Greek yoghurt

  • 1 avocado mashed

  • 1⁄2 lemon, squeezed

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp smoky paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 basa fillets

  • 12 corn tortillas

  • 1 cup thinly sliced red cabbage

  • 1 cup grated carrot

  • Lime wedges

  • Coriander to serve

 

Method

  1. Mix Greek yoghurt, avocado and lemon juice in a small bowl and set aside.

  2. Mix the garlic powder, cumin, chilli powder, paprika and seasoning in a bowl until well combined.

  3. Add the olive oil and fish fillets to the mixture and mix until the fillets are well coated.

  4. Heat a griddle pan on a medium heat and cook fish fillets for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.

  5. Set fish aside and heat the tortillas on the griddle for a few minutes until warm.

  6. Place fish, cabbage and carrot inside a tortilla and top with avocado salsa and coriander and serve with lime wedges.
